PATHOLOGY DATA

 
Location: Antrum.  
   
Gross findings:

Ulcerative lesion located at the antrium, ill demarcated.

Tumor measures 6 cm in diameter.

Cut section is firm and white.

Paragastric lymph nodes: 6.
   
Microscopic findings: Tissue sections show proliferation of glandular cells. Mitotic figures are evident. The neoplastic cells have coarse, irregular nuclei with scanty cytoplasm. The tumor cells are arranged in groups and glands, and invade the muscularis propria and serosa. The lymph nodes show 2 of 6 positive.
