PATHOLOGY DATA

 
Location: Face.  
   
Gross findings:

Tumor is 5 cm in diameter, with cauliflower shape and ulcerative.

Cut section is firm and white.

   
Microscopic findings: Tissue sections show proliferation of squamous epithelial cells. The epithelial cells are polygonal, keratinized, with round irregular nuclei and abundant cytoplasm. Nuclear chromatin is coarse and distributed. Cytoplasm contains abundant keratin. Mitoses are evident. The tumor cells invade the connective tissue which is infiltrated by large numbers of lymphocytes, plasma cells, eosinophils, and neutrophils. Lymph nodes are hyperplastic. Well differentiated.
