Microscopic appearance: Normocytic, normochromic. Thrombocytopenia, leukocytosis. High Blast count seen in smear. Cellularity almost 100%. Marrow is packed with homogeneous blast cells. Shows high N:C ratio, open nuclear chromatin with 2-3 nuclei. Normal hematopoiesis is markedly suppressed.
