PATHOLOGY DATA

 
Location: Transverse colon.  
   
Gross findings:

Tumor size 3.5 cm diameter, ulcerative surface.

Cut section is soft, white.

   
Microscopic findings: Tissue sections show malignant columnar cells arranged in glands. The malignant cells have clear cytoplasm with vacuoles. Many irregular and monstrous nuclei. There is evidence of mucinous section. The malignant cells have invaded into the colon wall.
