Human Tissue Lysates

Protein Biotechnologies has assembled the largest and most comprehensive collection of ready-to-use human protein extracts on the market. These tissue lysates are ideal for biomarker identification / screening, antibody detection / characterization, protein-protein interactions, protein expression, ligand binding, ELISA, immunoprecipitation, 1D and 2D gel electrophoresis, and Western blotting.

Protein Biotechnologies adheres to the strictest bioethics standards by collecting all specimens in accordance with IRB-Approved protocols that ensure patient confidentiality, safety and informed consent.

Human tissue samples are flash frozen to -120°C within 5-10 minutes of removal ensuring that specimens are of the highest quality available. Currently available specimens include:

Human Lung Cancer Lysates
Human Breast Cancer Lysates
Human Colon Cancer Lysates
Human Uterus / Ovary / Cervix Cancer Lysates
Human Stomach Cancer Lysates
Human Bladder Cancer Lysates
Human Kidney Cancer Lysates
Human Thyroid Cancer Lysates

Protein Microarrays

To facilitate high-throughput screening of human clinical specimens, Protein Biotechnologies provides its tissue lysate library on ready-to-use protein microarrays. These microarrays promise to dramatically increase the efficiency and speed of research studies by permitting the end user to assay 100+ clinical samples in a single assay. These arrays have been designed and optimized for use with colorimetric, ECL and fluorescence detection systems – permitting the greatest flexibility and precluding the need for expensive scanning systems.

Tissue Microarrays

For protein localization, immunohistochemical and in-situ hybridization studies, tissue microarrays are an ideal method for studying multiple human cancer / normal tissues in a single assay. TMA can be used to screen different tumor types, non-malignant tissues, and normal tissues and cells, to rapidly assess the clinical significance of molecular alterations in cancer and other diseases. Tissue microarrays aid in the analysis of tumors from patients at different stages of disease development to identify gene alteration and frequency / tumor expression of molecular markers.

Tissue microarrays allow simultaneous analysis of hundreds of tissue samples on one microscope slide in the same amount of time that was previously required for a single specimen. Tissue microarrays increase throughput, conserve precious tissue resources, improve internal experimental controls, and reduce reagent consumption.
